April 19, 1996 Art: "All right, let's see.. West of the Rockies, you're on the air! Good morning." Caller: "Hello, Mr. Bell?" Art: "Yes!" Caller: "All right, I've got a couple things to say for you. I need to have some clarification on the fact you don't believe- You're talkin' about the government's coverin' up UFOs and how they're tryin' to deceive us, and you're always talkin about that, then you come on and try to double-talk us by sayin' you don't think we're responsible for the government!" Art: "No. I didn't. I say that we are the government!" Caller: "Well make up your mind! What do you mean we are the government?! If we are the government, then why would they hide things from us? They are not hidin' anything from us!" Art: "Even our Founding Fathers, sir, when they wrote, uh, that wonderful document we all live by.." Caller: "Yes, the most wonderful piece of paper on this entire planet!" Art: "..Cautioned us to keep our eye on them, and put in all kinds of protections because.." Caller: "Well I don't think they meant.." Art: "Excuse me! Now, let me finish and then you can go, okay?" Caller: "All right." Art: "And put in all kinds of protections specifically so-" Caller: "MmHmm.." Art: "-Because they understood that the government could get out of control." Caller: "Well it could and it might and it would- It is not out of control! Our government is a great and beautiful thing, and people like you who try to tear it down and try to rip down the foundations of our nation by- by purporting Bigfoot- I mean, I can't BELIEVE you! BIGFOOT! You're a grown man and you're takin' this SERIOUS!" Art: "I love Bigfoot!" Caller: "What is wrong with you?!" Art: "I love Bigfoot!" Caller: "Oh- y- Don't get smart with me! You're just- You and your UFO nonsense, you're CRAZY!" Art: "I li- I wish Bigfoot were my dad!" Caller: "Oh! Well you know what? Bigfoot is of the DEVIL! If he is anything!" Art: (laugh) "Here we go!" Caller: "It is demonic doings that are trying to deceive good Christian.." Art: "Demonic? Demonic doings from the Devil, right?" Caller: "As YOU are! Ask that caller that called the other night- You ARE 'Satan's Mouthpiece!' You just walk with the Devil! You're just tryin' to deceive Chris- Good Christian Americans!" Art: "No, I'm virtually- virtually the Antichrist." Caller: "I would say s- n-you're not, you're not actually The Beast, but you're workin' for him!" Art: "I'm trying to help you here, sir!" Caller: "You're trying to help me?! Well why don't you don't help me, and why don't you just get off the air to make way for good people, like G. Gordon Liddy, Ollie North, and Rush Limbaugh! You're not even in their league!" Art: "They're all on the air." Caller: "Well, we could even hear a repeat! You are nowhere near the league or the caliber of a man we need on the air!" Art: "You're absolutely right! You're absolutely right about that! Caller: "You are spreading disinformation, and defrauding the American public with your constant rhetoric about the government, and Area 51, UFOs! You are anti-Christian! You are anti-American! And I think you should just STOP! I'm tired of hearing you EVERY NIGHT!" Art: "Well just one question." Caller: "WHAT!?" Art: "Why do you listen?" Caller: "Be- I have to! Somebody has to keep you in check and counterbalance the lies you put out!" Art: (laughs) "You're compelled to listen, aren't you? Oh yeah! All right!" Caller: "Oh, no! Don't start with that! See, you speak in the Devil's tongue and you think it's a joke! But it's real!" Art: ('pseudo-demonic') "You are compelled!" Caller: "You're really being channeled by demons!" Art: ('pseudo-demonic') "You will listen! You will listen! You will listen!" Caller: "Just- Will you just cut it out and talk normal?!" Art: ('pseudo-demonic') "You will listen to me! Every chance you get! Every minute!" Caller: "This is what I'm talking about! You think it's a big joke what you're doing to America!" Art: ('pseudo-demonic') "You will keep your radio and turn the volume up even higher!" Caller: Art: ('pseudo-demonic') "The entire foundation! Around our ears!" Caller: "Very funny! Very funny!"
