Art: "West of the Rockies, you're on the air with Willie Nelson. Good morning!"
J.C. "Yes! Yes! It would figure that you would have on your program a dope-smoking, draft-dodging,
government-hating hippie! That would figure for you! Someone who has murdered not 39, but now 43 people
who you sent to their dues by watching a comet!"
Art: "Uh, Willie, this is a fellow named J.C. Features himself to be a preacher."
J.C.: "I even like Country and Western, but you give it a bad name! How about somebody like Hank Williams
who sings good songs about the Heartland?!"
Art: "This is J.C. He features himself to be a preacher, Willie."
Willie: "Oh, I- Uh- He's doin' great!"
J.C.: "I administer the New Revelation from the Lord, and you're against the Lord's work! Just like the
gentleman who told them gentlemen with the T-shirt he has to take that off- that he was causin' disruption
among those who were there to follow the true faith! And that Art Bell, you know murdered.."
Art: "Willie, he thinks I'm the Antichrist."
J.C.: "Well you've murdered! Your body-count's piling up! You can't say that this you have a morality act.."
Willie: "They are not.."
Art: "He's- He's talking about the Heaven's Gate suicides."
J.C.: "And you're tryin' to dodge that!"
Art: "Blamin' that on me."
J.C.: "You're tryin' to dodge that!"
Willie: "Oh, I- You know, I didn't know whether you did it or not, Art." (laughing)
Art: (laughing)
J.C.: "It will reveal that you were at the helm!"
Art: "J.C., J.C.?"
J.C.: "What do you want?!"
Art: "J.C., Be ca-"
Willie: "J.C., you left your motor runnin'!"
Art: "Yeah!"
J.C.: "No!"
Art: "Be calm, J.C.!."
J.C.: "Well I uh- I am calm!"
Art: "No you're not! You're never calm!"
J.C.: "Well yes I am! Are you tryin' to say that I have a problem? No I don't! I have a problem with the fact
you bring on subversives onto your program who are sayin' the government's creating viruses!"
Art: "'Subversives'? All right, J.C., enough for now."
Willie: "J.C., are you holdin' your nose when your talkin'?"
Art: "I've often wondered about that myself, Willie. Mercifully, he seems to be gone, but he'd just go on and on if
I let him. Um, so, um, are you a 'proud subversive,' Willie?"
Willie: "Am I a proud subversive?"
Art: "Yeah!" (laughing)
Willie: (extended laughing) "Hell, yeah!"
Art: "Uh, yeah I know! That's the way I feel about it too!"
